On May 15, the team of the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery and Modern Dental Technologies of the O.O. Bogomolets 🇺🇦 participated in the Symposium on Reconstructive Surgery of the Periorbital Area as part of the Filatovsky Readings 2025 in Odessa.
👨⚕️ Professor Yuriy Chepurny, assistant Dmytro Filonenko and postgraduate student Maksym Kebkalo, together with their ophthalmologist colleagues, presented reports on:
🔹 Orbital reconstruction in patients with anophthalmos 🏥
🔹 Modern possibilities of ocular prosthetics and maxillofacial orthopedics 🦾
🔹 Challenges of multidisciplinary rehabilitation of patients with combat injuries 💥
💡 The meeting was an excellent example of how the synergy of specialties — ophthalmology, maxillofacial surgery, orthopedics and plastic surgery — opens up new horizons for restoring the quality of life of patients.
