During the 5th International Symposium “Treatment of Facial and Eye Injuries”, held in Ivano-Frankivsk with the participation of American and Canadian doctors, the Department’s staff presented their own experience in the rehabilitation of patients with combat injuries.
Professor Yuriy Chepurny and Assistant Professor Dmytro Filonenko gave a report on the treatment and prosthetic rehabilitation of patients with post-traumatic anophthalmos – a complex consequence of injuries that often accompany mine-explosive facial trauma.
Together with colleagues from the USA, Canada, specialists from the Department of Ophthalmology and Optometry of the National Medical University, the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Hospital, and the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Southern Region, they discussed effective approaches to multidisciplinary rehabilitation of servicemen.
Sincere thanks to Nataliia Komashko, BF “Patients of Ukraine”, Face to Future Foundation and ASOEP for organizing the symposium and creating a platform for international professional dialogue.
🎯 Our goal is to restore face and quality of life to those who defend the country.
